We all know of uncomfortable sensations that happen to our bodies when it is tired and stressed - we are SO tired and yet cannot sleep, or wake every morning still feeling exhausted.

Do we let our mind worry about things that we really have no control over? The stresses of everyday living often build up in our lives and it is important to take some "time out" and spend some time in quiet contemplation.

Have you tried meditation?

Meditation is a self-directed practice for relaxing the body and calming the mind. The health benefits have long been recognized but it can appear daunting and difficult to know where to begin.

One of the benefits is the production of beneficial chemicals known as endorphins, which help with respiratory problems, normalize blood pressure and reduce emotional setbacks such as anxiety.

During meditation the heart rate slows and breathing rate falls. The mind becomes quiet and is more aware. Concentration is not interrupted by distractions, as meditation trains our mind to work differently than the way it normally does.

As we all are individuals we often need to experience many different methods to feel safe and secure in this journey on the path to harmony.
